  38. Greetings.  I hate to add yet another question to this newsgroup but I've exhausted
  39. my resources here at Michigan State:

  41. I found out that our MTU here at MSU is 256.  My question is this:  How do you select
  42. TCP RWIN & TCP MSS?  I assumed that TCP MSS was 40 less then MTU (216).  But what do
  43. I put for TCP RWIN?  Are any of these relative to the speed of my modem?

  45. This is what I have right now:
  46.  
  47.  MTU = 256
  48.  TCP RWIN = 1024 
  49.  TCP MSS = 216
  50.  
  51. and I get this error when I connect to anything:

  53. IP header checksum error
  54.  
  55. I'm assuming that all my IP address are correct, and the problem is with these settings.
  56. If anyone out there can help me out as to what to put for these variables I sure
  57. would appreciate it.
